Multi-jet Water Meter

A water meter continuously measures, retains and displays the volume of water passing through a flow path. It consists of a body and an internal mechanism. The mechanism has a measuring unit (turbine or piston) in contact with water, a transmission unit (gearbox), and a volume register.

Multi-jet meters are widely used for domestic water measurement. Wet, semi-dry and dry versions are distinguished by which components contact the water. In a wet meter all components are in contact with water; in a semi-dry meter the register is isolated; in a dry meter only the turbine is in contact with water. Measurement classification uses classes A, B, C and D or the ratio R = Q3/Q1.
