Smart Gas Meter

Following the production of upgraded meters at Ekbatan Gas Control and the need for high measurement accuracy, an upgraded meter was selected. Its smart module was developed using the current expertise of the electronics and IT teams at Ekbatan Gas Control and Arya Hamrah Samaneh.

Communication technology:

The type and characteristics of the communication network depend on physical and geographical conditions and the needs of the system operator. By engineering the requirements of each project, the consortium of Ekbatan Gas Control and Arya Hamrah Samaneh can design and implement communication platforms using NB-IoT, LoRa, 3G/GPRS, ZigBee, WiFi, M-BUS, RS485 and other technologies to exchange information with the central system.

NB-IoT is a recent communication technology for Internet of Things applications. Its low cost, very long range and very low power consumption make it preferable to other communication technologies for many IoT applications.

In large urban developments, affordability is important, so communication systems must be designed to minimise cost. Reliable information exchange is also essential. As a participant in the IoT industry, the consortium provides cost-effective solutions for designing and implementing communication networks for smart networks.

LoRa is another recent communication technology for Internet of Things applications. Its low cost, very long range and very low power consumption make it a widely used platform for IoT applications. This technology was therefore used in the monitoring project at this unit.

Financial and economic feasibility, project costs and reliable information exchange are important when designing and implementing communication systems in urban areas. As a participant in the national communications industry, the consortium can provide cost-effective solutions for designing and implementing communication networks for smart networks.
