Steering housing of PRIDE

The steering housing is an aluminium component that supports the other parts of the vehicle steering system. Its base is mounted on the vehicle subframe with two bolts. It maintains the steering assembly structure and guides the rack along the vehicle’s transverse axis.

A plastic bush is assembled at one end of the housing, with the hydraulic valve and plunger assembly at the other end.

Grease inside the housing lubricates the rack and pinion and helps prevent corrosion. Dust boots fitted at both ends prevent dust entering the enclosed steering system.
